Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania

The Magisterial District Courts are the first tier of the Unified Judicial System of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There are more than 550 such courts operating in small local jurisdictions to provide service to the public. These courts handle summary traffic, criminal, and ordinance cases, landlord tenant actions, civil cases $8,000.00 and under, criminal warrants and preliminary hearings, and search warrants.
